Qualit-e Workplace Learning Architecture

Our courses are designed to improve job performance. They are not conceptual, academic, or content-centered treatments. Our unique Qualit-e Workplace Learning Architecture places the emphasis right where it should be: on knowledge and skills that improve the performance of people.

Among the key attributes of Qualit-e Workplace Learning are:

  • Qualit-e Path - provides an initial assessment that recommends an individualized learning path based on demonstrated competencies. The assessment can be taken as many times as the learner desires. Each time, new questions are used and presented in a different order to help ensure a true understanding of the subject matter. Your personalized learning path is refined with each assessment. This feature saves time and enables learners to focus on areas that require more attention.

  • World Class Content - that is practical and relevant to real-world job contexts. Our approach to branded content, through relationships with leading corporations, publishers, universities and business experts, is unique in eLearning and gives us access to both world class content and subject matter expertise.

  • Learning Objects - make up each Qualit-e course. Typically, two to four learning objects comprise each course, which is approximately 90 minutes in duration. These learning objects are compatible with the AICC and IMS standards. Because the courses are relatively short, they are convenient for people with busy schedules and short periods of disposable time. The learning objects are also easily configurable for customized applications.

  • Practical, Job-based Examples and Case Studies - content is presented in real-world job contexts. By anchoring information in job-related situations, the likelihood of learning and performance improvements is greatly enhanced. The closer learning approximates the job, the more likely performance objectives will be attained.

  • Workplace Simulations - provide learners with a range of opportunities to practice in simulated workplace scenarios. Included in these features are scenario-based instruction and tests, adaptive case studies, workplace exercises and games.

  • Interactions Varying in Type and Level - Qualit-e courses have an unparalleled number and level of interactions. Learners are constantly involved in making choices and decisions. A variety of interaction types, such as multiple choice, drag and drop, multi-select, matching, and mouse-over items, are employed. And these interactions extend beyond simple knowledge-recall items. Higher-level thinking and application to job skills are the basis for most interactions.

  • Performance Job Aids - in addition to course material, learners have constant access to job and performance support aids that summarize key steps, processes, and guidelines. Learners can then print or copy these job aids for subsequent use.

  • Mastery - for learning to occur, there must be measurable and documented evidence of change, improvement, and growth. Qualit-e mastery modules are at the course level as well as the curriculum level. The curriculum level mastery module focuses on job and performance improvement, and test items and distractors are randomized to ensure greater reliability and validity of the mastery tests.
